Mentor Selection Process
A list of potential mentor candidates is established and maintained for six months. Individuals interested in serving as JATC Operator Mentors must submit a written application to the JATC. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed quarterly.
Selection Criteria:

Safety and Responsibility: The applicant demonstrates consistent safe practices and responsibility in the field.

Professional Reputation: The applicant is recognized by peers for mastery of their work, teamwork, and supportive collaboration with coworkers.

Work Ethic and Attitude: The applicant exhibits a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and pride in their work.

Experience: At least two years of experience as an operator is recommended.
This process ensures that mentors are highly qualified, respected, and capable of guiding new operators effectively.
